The client was contacted by the Special Victims Detective regarding an allegation of sexual assault. Client was extremely worried that a false allegation would turn into a criminal charge and impact his good standing in the community. Joel provided the Detective with compelling evidence. The Detective later contacted Joel and stated that he decided not to file any criminal charges against client. Client was contacted by a detective investigating a hit and run. Client was extremely worried that this investigation would end up in criminal charges. Joel had a conversation with client and went through facts of what happened. Client was charged with using force to enter in a home. Working to strategically put his Client in a better position, Joel carefully revealed some new information to the Chief District Attorney. After seeing the proof and hearing’s Joel’s argument, the DA agreed to reduce the felony charges down to two misdemeanors and a fine. The client was able to avoid prison and a felony.

Client was charged with the serious domestic violence where the Client was looking at a jail sentence and losing his job. Extremely afraid of losing everything he has worked for, Client left his attorney and hired Joel. When he walked into our office it was immediately apparent that the Client needed someone to fight for him. Joel immediately went to work and saw through the nature of the charges and was able to get to the root of the accusations. After investigation, Joel discovered significant problems with the prosecution’s case. Joel was able to work out a deal that got the Client’s case dismissed.

The client was charged with kidnapping a man who stole his car. Client attempted to take the issue into his own hands and tried to get his car back. In doing that he used a gun and forced the man into the car and drove to get his property back. SWAT and police surrounded the car and ultimately took the client into custody. Joel was hired by the Client’s family. Joel was able to get his bail reduced and eventually out of custody. In discussing the case with the prosecutor Joel was able to get a negotiation that placed the client on probation for 2 years and ultimately the case reduced to a misdemeanor battery. Client was extremely grateful for Joel’s work.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon

The client was charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Client lived next door to a neighbor that was not acting appropriately. Client went over to confront the neighbor with a gun the client always carries. The client was arrested and taken to jail. The client had never been in trouble before and was extremely concerned about the client’s future. They hired Joel Mann and he got to work. Through the gathering of evidence it became apparent that the client upon knocking on the door, the neighbor immediately attacked the client. At the moment of being attacked, the client attempt to get her weapon out in self-defense. Joel went to the District Attorney with this evidence and made it clear that the case was not a good case. The District Attorney agreed and ultimately dismissed the matter.

The client was charged with entering into business establishments with fraudulent gift cards. After reviewing the evidence Joel discovered evidentiary issues that put the State’s evidence in question. Joel was ready to have an evidentiary hearing that would challenge the State’s evidence. At the time of the hearing, the State was unable to proceed and Joel had the case dismissed.

Client was charged with horrific crimes of sexually assaulting a woman who they had a mutual child in common. Court had placed Client in jail with a bail over $400,000 and Client was looking at potentially a very long lifetime prison sentence. Joel immediately worked at looking at the facts of the case. Joel started to tear apart the details of the alleged assault and discovered inconsistencies. Joel kept on pulling at the threads of inconsistencies and eventually found the linchpin to prove that the alleged victim was lying. Working to strategically put his Client in a better position, Joel carefully revealed some of this information to the Chief District Attorney. After seeing the proof and hearing’s Joel’s argument, the DA agreed to dismiss all but one charge with guaranteed probation. Client was released that very day and back to work the following day.

Client was charged with the serious felony first-degree kidnapping and extortion where the Client was looking at lifetime prison sentences. Joel immediately went to work and saw through the nature of the charges and was able to get to the root of the accusations. After investigation, Joel discovered significant problems with the prosecution’s case. Joel was able to work out a deal that got the Client’s case dismissed within two weeks of Joel’s first Court appearance.

Client was charged with battery constituting domestic violence. Client and his wife were visiting Las Vegas for vacation. Unfortunately, too much alcohol was consumed and a fight between the husband and wife ensued. The hotel casino security was called and forced the two of them downstairs in the casino holding area. While they were in holding Las Vegas Metropolitan Police started to interview the parties and decided to take the husband into custody. After being released, Client hired Joel Mann and discussed the case. Client was extremely worried about this charge, as he was required to carry a weapon for his job. Joel started preparing for trial, reviewing police reports, surveillance tapes, and security reports. On the day of trial Joel went through all the details with the District Attorney and the DA ultimately decided that this was not a case that can be won. The case was dismissed.
