The Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution gives citizens the right to bear arms; however, in the state of Nevada and across the country, the misuse of weapons is a serious offense that can result in an arrest and potential criminal conviction. If an individual faces weapon charges, it is in their best interest to discuss the situation with an experienced attorney and determine the most promising path towards a positive resolution.

Nevada does not require a permit to purchase, own, or possess a gun, though a special permit is required to carry a concealed weapon. Specific uses of a weapon are prohibited under the law, even if the individual is permitted to carry a concealed weapon. A conviction for any gun-related offense can result in jail or prison time, expensive fines, and even deportation for certain individuals.
